The violet timetable through the winter

Since December 13 and until January 2, 2022, Austria Wien has been on winter break. Preparation begins on January 3 with the obligatory checks, and the team takes to the pitch for the first time on January 5. A training camp in Turkey is planned from January 22 to 29, and a total of six test matches are scheduled between now and February 5.

The first opponent will be SC Mannswörth (Wiener Stadtliga) on Saturday, January 8, followed four days later by Wiener Sport-Club (Regionalliga Ost) on Wednesday, January 12. On January 15, the team will face the newly formed Team Wiener Linien Elektra (RLO).

Exactly one week later, head coach Manfred Schmid's team travels to the training camp in Belek. In addition to numerous training sessions, two test matches are planned for the Turkish Riviera, which will take place on Monday, January 24 and Thursday, January 27. The respective opponent is still open.

The final match of the winter preparation period will be a home clash with Slovan Bratislava (Fortuna liga) on Saturday, February 5. It is not yet clear whether the games will be played in the Generali Arena and/or in front of fans.

Austria Wien opens the spring season on February 12 by playing SCR Altach away from home.
