Injury update on Mühl & Yateke

Last weekend Lukas Mühl had to be substituted in the 333rd Vienna Derby and Sterling Yateke in the Young Violets match in St. Pölten due to injury. While there is good news for the 24-year-old German, the striker is out for a longer period.

Lukas Mühl gave the Violets the lead with his debut goal in the derby in the 32nd minute, but with just under fifteen minutes remaining, the center back had to leave the field with an injury. In the meantime, however, Mühl has returned to full training and his substitution has no further consequences.

The news for Sterling Yateke, on the other hand, was not so good. The 22-year-old was taken to the hospital last Friday during the game in St. Pölten for an initial examination, where no exact diagnosis could be made for the time being. At the beginning of the week, the bad news followed: Yateke suffered a syndesmosis and an inner ligament tear and will be out for several months.
