After the defensive tactics against Red Bull Salzburg, Manfred Schmid made his starting eleven a bit more offensive against Austria Klagenfurt. The five-man backfield became the usual four-man lineup again, with Christian Schoissengeyr making way for Alexander Grünwald in attacking midfield. Otherwise, the team remained unchanged.

Austria Klagenfurt came to the Generali Arena with a win against Hartberg. Coach Peter Pacult also made only one change: Central defender Nicolas Wimmer, who was suspended last time, replaced Ivan Šaravanja.

No goals in sweltering heat
