Austria celebrated the next unchallenged victory in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. Aleksandar Jukić before and Manfred Fischer after the break provided the goals in the 2-0 home win. The Violets thus moved up to 4th place in the table.
Manfred Schmid left the successful squad from the win in Altach unchanged, with new options on the bench. Marco Djuričin was back in the match squad for the first time after his injury, Lucas Galvão was given the right to play. Vesel Demaku, Dominik Fitz, Muharem Husković, Can Keles and Florian Wustinger had to pass due to injury.
The opponent from Hartberg achieved a 1-1 against Admira. Coach Kurt Russ was able to fall back on the recovered Rene Swete, Mario Sonnleitner and Dario Tadić against Austria.
More than 7,000 spectators in the Generali Arena saw a dominant Austria from the start. Manfred Fischer registered the first goal, but Rene Swete was on the spot (11.). A nice action via Noah Ohio, Manfred Fischer and Matthias Braunöder led to 1:0 for Austria. Aleksandar Jukić slammed the ball under the crossbar from 12 meters (18.).
Fischer flicked a ball just wide of the goal in the 23rd minute, the preparatory work again coming from Braunöder. Jukić shot from the edge of the penalty area, Swete turned the shot over the crossbar (35.). Markus Suttner set up Manfred Fischer, who shot a volley from the turn - just past (40.). Just before the break, there were two more top opportunities for the Violets: Braunöder put the ball back to Ohio, Swete saved in the highest emergency. Shortly afterwards, Jukić broke through on the right side, but Ohio and Fischer were unable to deal with his good cross (43rd, 44th). Austria went into the break with a well-deserved lead.
At the start of the second half, Michael Steinwender hit Noah Ohio on the knee in the penalty area, but neither referee Dieter Muckenhammer nor VAR Manuel Schüttengruber saw a penalty worthy offense. A strong as a bear Matthias Braunöder shot over the goal in the 54th minute, shortly after the redeeming 2:0. A cross from Markus Suttner reached Noah Ohio. The ball came to Manfred Fischer, who took off and gave Swete no chance to defend - 2:0 in the 55th minute.
A header by Fischer after Jukić's cross went next to the goal (62nd). After that Manfred Schmid made two changes: Marco Djuričin and Georg Teigl came in for Noah Ohio and Alexander Grünwald. In the 71st minute Patrick Pentz had to intervene for the first time, our number one parried a shot from the just substituted Okan Aydin. A finish from Djuričin was blocked (74th) before Manfred Schmid allowed another debut, 19-year-old Dario Kreiker replacing Aleksandar Jukić. Djuričin failed to beat Swete (84th) after being set up by Teigl. Lucas Galvão made his debut for Violett in stoppage time.
Austria ultimately prevailed clearly 2-0 against TSV Hartberg, a nice present for Manfred Schmid's birthday tomorrow.
