Thanks to their runner-up title in the 2024/25 championship, Austria will have the opportunity to prove themselves internationally this year and advance to the second qualifying round (league path) of the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifiers. This means that they will have the chance to demonstrate their abilities in a mini-tournament consisting of a semi-final and a final.

The Violets will first have to prevail against Glasgow City FC from Scotland. If they win, they will face FC Minsk in the final of the mini-tournament. The winner of the final qualifies for the third qualifying round of the UWCL and can play for a place in the league phase. The runner-up slips into the second qualifying round of the newly created European Cup.

Second and third place in European Cup qualification

As the Veilchen were drawn into the only group of three in this qualification, the match for third place is not necessary. This means that even if they lose, they will automatically advance to the first qualifying round of the European Cup.

Further information regarding the time and venue will follow shortly.
