Austria Wien signs Stephan Zwierschitz

Stephan Zwierschitz: “I am very proud that I am with Austria Wien now. I'm looking forward to playing in this amazing stadium with the support of the Austria Wien fans. My first impressions of the club and the whole environment are very good.”

Ralf Muhr: “He has already proven his qualities in various positions nationally and internationally. He also brings along the necessary mentality that is required and reinforces our defence.”

For Zwierschitz, the prospect of playing in the UEFA Europa League with Austria Wien is a great motivation. “Of course, playing with Austria Wien internationally is a big goal for me,” emphasizes the 28-year-old. The ‘Violets’ are entering the third UEL qualification round (August 8^th/15^th).

This season Zwierschitz contributed four goals and five assists in 28 games for Admira, playing mostly as the right defender, occasionally in central defence and in the right midfield. The former U21 team player started at Admira in summer 2013, since then he always belonged to the permanent line-up and during this time he completed eight UEL qualifying matches for Admira.
