Dejan Radonjić extends his contract

The defender has been wearing the violet jersey since 2014 and has been on loan to the co-operation club SV Stripfing for the past two seasons. In Vienna-Favoriten, the 19-year-old has extended his contract by a further two years until summer 2027.

The strong centre-back joined Austria as an eight-year-old and, at the age of 19, already has a lot of experience under his belt. Radonjić signed for SV Stripfing via the Young Violets in 2023 and has already played a total of 51 competitive matches in the 2nd division.

At the end of October, ‘Deki’ was to become the protagonist of the Stripfing Cup miracle when he scored a 2:1 goal to knock the city rivals out of the competition in the round of 16 of the ÖFB Cup. So far he has made seven appearances for the ÖFB U18 team and four for the U19 team.

Radonjić has extended his contract at Vienna-Favoriten for two years and will start his preparations with the team on 23 June.

Sporting Director Manuel Ortlechner: "Dejan played many games in the starting eleven at Stripfing last year and established himself as a mainstay in the 2nd division. Thanks to his resilience and strength in tackles, he has important attributes for the centre-back position and will therefore also start his preparations with the squad on 23 June."
