Dizdarević and Jusić take the next step

Denis Dizdarević is the first player from the ACADEMIES ELEVEN project to take the next step. The 18-year-old already has ten second division games under his belt and thus officially becomes a Young Violets professional. Goalkeeper Kenan Jusić, 17, is a new member of the elite ACADEMIES ELEVEN selection.

Sporting director Manuel Ortlechner: "With this project, we want to further promote our promising players and prepare them intensively for a potential professional career. Denis Dizdarević shows that it pays off to consistently follow the Violets' training path. He has recommended himself for adult football with good performances. The Young Violets are the ideal platform for his next developmental step towards becoming a Bundesliga professional. Kenan Jusić is a current U17 national goalkeeper, an elite ÖFB player and a child of Austria, so we are all the more pleased that he continues to choose our path."

Kenan Jusić played exclusively for Austria Wien in his life, he once started as a seven-year-old in the violets' youth team, ten years later he is now part of the elite ACADEMIES ELEVEN programme.

Academy director Manuel Takacs: "Denis Dizdarević and Kenan Jusić are examples of how positive performances are rewarded. When a young player performs very well with us, he is rewarded and targeted for higher tasks. Denis Dizdarević has attracted enormous attention in the U18s and confirmed the positive performance with the Young Violets. Kenan Jusić is a modern goalkeeper who has mastered goalkeeping techniques but also finds really good solutions with his foot. The Academies Eleven project is seen as an appreciation towards our youngsters."
