Austria Vienna has signed the 19-year-old midfielder to a contract until summer 2028. The home-grown player is a regular member of the Young Violets, has made 13 appearances in the 2nd division this season, and made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga in October last year.
Nišandžić moved from Wiener Sport-Club to the Violets over ten years ago and subsequently played for all of the youth and academy teams. In the 2024/25 season, the central midfielder became a regular for the Young Violets and played a major role in Max Uhlig's team's promotion to the 2nd division. In the current season, the robust midfield engine made 13 appearances in the 2nd division and racked up 1,054 minutes of playing time.
On October 26, the home-grown player made his debut for the violets pros: Nišandžić came on as a substitute for captain Manfred Fischer in the closing stages of the game against Red Bull Salzburg. Now the 19-year-old has signed his first professional contract with Austria Vienna.
Sports director Michael Wagner: “Dominik has developed very well with the Young Violets over the past year and has already accumulated some valuable playing time in the 2nd division. We want to continue to promote his development in a targeted manner, which is why he is currently back at our pros' training camp.”
Dominik Nišandžić: “Signing my first professional contract with Austria Vienna means a lot to me. I am very proud to be part of this club, and anyone who knows me knows that I will continue to work very hard every day to develop further!”
