Elisa Pfattner signs with Austria Wien

Midfielder Elisa Pfattner is transferring to Austria Wien. The 21-year-old is coming to Favoriten from Italian top club Juventus, from which the South Tyrol native was loaned to league rival USV Neulengbach starting in 2023. She has gained experience in the past playing for the Italian U23 national team, among others. Pfattner has signed a contract until 2027.

‘I am very happy to be taking my next step at Austria and to be able to prove myself there. Austria WIen is an ambitious club that wants to develop not only in Austria but also internationally and has big plans for the women's team. I will give my best for the club and am looking forward to the time ahead,’ says Elisa Pfattner.

At just 16 years of age, Pfattner moved to Turin to play for Juventus as a youth player. In 2023, she signed her first professional contract with the Italian club and moved to Austria on loan to USV Neulengbach that same summer. Here, the midfielder quickly established herself as an important member of the team and a regular player. The 21-year-old has also gained experience in various Italian youth national teams, most recently in the U23 national team.

Pfattner's contract with Juventus would have run until 2026. Instead of a loan, however, Austria Wien was able to find a solution and sign Elisa Pfattner on a permanent basis.

Stefan Kenesei: ‘We are incredibly happy that we were able to sign Elisa for our project. She had been on our radar for a long time, so it's all the more wonderful that we were able to reach an agreement with Juventus for a permanent transfer. A player with her quality and charisma will help us enormously both on and off the pitch.’
