Austria Wien expands the board of directors

At an extraordinary meeting held at the Generali-Arena, the Supervisory Board appointed Gerhard Krisch to the executive board of FK Austria Wien AG at the suggestion of President Frank Hensel. This decision was preceded by an intensive selection process including an assessment process by a personnel consultant. The boards confirmed the personnel matter unanimously.

President Frank Hensel: "With Gerhard Krisch, we have been able to win over a successful manager for the board of FK Austria Wien AG. He will begin his duties on May 1, 2021. Gerhard Krisch has proven his leadership qualities and expertise in financial matters in several functions in and outside the sports world. I look forward in advance to a successful cooperation for the Austria Wien family."

Krisch (55) will complement Markus Kraetschmer, who most recently served as sole board member again, in his agendas starting in May and share overall responsibility. Kraetschmer still has a contract until June 30, 2021, and talks are underway to extend his contract.

The same applies to the future of Peter Stöger at FK Austria Wien.

Frank Hensel: "We are in a very harmonious exchange with both of them and hope for a decision in a timely manner in order to be able to define the fields of activity."
