Florian Wustinger suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee during the training camp in Turkey and will be out of action until further notice. The midfielder is already back in Vienna and will undergo surgery in the coming days.
Wustinger injured himself in a duel during a training match. The 21-year-old then flew back to Vienna with team manager Christoph Lehenbauer, where team doctor Dr. Marcus Hofbauer made the diagnosis at the Privatklinik Döbling, Austria Wien's health partner.
On August 18, 2022, in a home match against Fenerbahçe, Wustinger tore his left anterior cruciate ligament for the first time, and on July 14, during his first match for partner club SV Stripfing, he suffered a second cruciate ligament tear in his left knee.
We are with you, Flo. All the best and a speedy and full recovery!
