Martins, Braunöder, Schiechtl & Co: 14 Violets Called Up

Marvin Martins with Luxembourg and Matthias Braunöder and Manuel Polster with Austria's U21s will be playing in the European Championship qualifiers, while Katharina Schiechtl will be appearing in the Nations League, including at Viola Park. Ten more Violets are on the road with various junior national teams.

Austria will kick off the new UEFA Women's Nations League on September 22, with Norway as the first opponent. The first home match will be against France on September 26 at Viola Park. Katharina Schiechtl, an Austrian, is also in Irene Fuhrmann's squad. Lena Triendl and Yvonne Weilharter are on call.

Luxembourg will play Iceland on September 8 and Portugal on September 11 in the European Championship qualifiers. Team manager Luc Holtz has called up Marvin Martins for both matches.

Austria's U21 national team starts its qualifying campaign for the European Championship 2025 on September 7 against Cyprus, with a home match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 12. In addition to captain Matthias Braunöder, Manuel Polster is also included, Muharem Husković had to cancel as a precaution, Moritz Wels is on call.

Ten violets in U19, U18 & U17

The domestic U19 team will play a friendly double international against Latvia on September 8-11. Team manager Oliver Lederer has called up three Violets in Kenan Jusić, Luca Pazourek and Dejan Radonjić, while Fabian Janković and Sanel Saljić are on the call-up list.

Luka Izderić, Dominik Nišandžić, Marijan Österreicher, Lars Stöckl, Marcel Stöger and Jonas Überbacher will be in action with the U18 national team under the guidance of Austria Wien legend Manfred Zsak at the four-nation tournament in Croatia from September 6-12. They will play against Saudi Arabia, Poland and the hosts. Petar Marković will be on call.

The U17 team will face Greece on September 7 and 10, Konstantin Aleksa is in the squad of team manager Martin Scherb, Julian Höller appears on the call-up list. Hasan Deshishku is on call-up for the U16 national team's double international against Germany.
