Matteo Meisl joins Admira

Austria Wien and Matteo Meisl are parting ways after seven years together. The 24-year-old centre-back is transferring to Admira Wacker in the ADMIRAL 2nd League with immediate effect.

Matteo Meisl moved to Vienna in the summer of 2018 and went on to play a total of 79 games for the Young Violets before making the leap to the violet professionals. Since the 2022/23 season, Meisl has made 49 appearances for Austria Wien in the Bundesliga, the ÖFB Cup and the UEFA Conference League. In spring 2025, the Salzburg native was loaned to former partner club SV Stripfing, where he played a key role in helping the team avoid relegation.
