Sporting director Manuel Ortlechner: "Mirko Kos has had a good development and enlivens the team with his incredibly positive charisma. He has always put in top performances in the games. He is a full-blooded Austrian and is determined to follow our chosen path. He has more than earned his contract extension."

Mirko Kos: "I feel great gratitude that the club has extended my contract early. When you've been there for over ten years, at some point you start to identify completely with the whole club and live the Austria feeling. I will continue to try to give the best for the team and the fans. Last season was very successful and I also believe that we can look positively into the future."

Mirko Kos not only enjoyed his football education with the Veilchen, but also completed his Matura at FK Austria Wien's cooperation school, the Wiener Ballsportgymnasium. Mirko Kos has been a member of the professional squad since 2017, and in the 2017/18 season he played a major role in the Young Violets' promotion to the 2nd Division, where he was a safe back-up.
