Points shared in Tyrol

An even match between Austria and WSG Tirol at Innsbruck's Tivoli ended in a 0:0 draw. The Violets are thus unbeaten in eight games against the Tyroleans and remain in 6th place in the table before the evening match.

Manfred Schmid had to do without the suspended centre-back Lucas Galvão, Johannes Handl started in his place. Christian Früchtl was back in goal and Marvin Martins was also back this time. Aleksandar Jukić replaced Can Keles, and Schmid again relied on Nikola Dovedan up front.

WSG coach Thomas Silberberger saw no reason for a change in his starting eleven after three wins in a row, the same team was on the scoresheet for the third time.

Balanced game at the Tivoli

Christian Früchtl had to intervene for the first time in the second minute, the Austria goalkeeper parried a shot by Lukas Sulzbacher to the short corner. Dominik Fitz was unlucky with a shot from 20 metres, the ball just missed the goal (9th). Wattens had another chance through Sulzbacher after a fast shot by Ferdinand Oswald, but he shot too hastily (11.). A header by Marvin Martins after a cross by Fitz was too weak (14.). Dovedan and Jukić scored in the 36th minute, but neither posed a threat to Oswald. A shot by Matthias Braunöder after a pass from Manuel Polster grazed the bar (41st). The hosts had the last chance of the first half, Sandi Ogrinec had a free shot after a pass from Nik Prelec, but he shot far over the goal (45.+1). The game went into the break goalless.

No goals

The game offered few scoring chances in the first 15 minutes of the second half, but after an hour Manfred Schmid made a double substitution: Andreas Gruber made his comeback after overcoming injury and illness, replacing Aleksandar Jukić. Ibrahima Drame came on for Nikola Dovedan. WSG had a chance to take the lead, but substitute Tim Prica narrowly missed a cross from the right (66th). Andreas Gruber failed after a pass from Manfred Fischer to Oswald, but was offside anyway (68.). A header by Kofi Schulz was blocked by Früchtl, a overhead kick by Prica went over the goal (72., 78.). Handl had a header after a corner by Fitz, but it went over (82.). Julius Ertlthaler had a shot in the penalty area, Früchtl kept the score level (89.). Austria had a few good shooting opportunities in the final phase, but were blocked again and again by the Tyrolean rearguard.

15:15 shots on goal, 51:49% possession, 53:47% won duels - a game that was balanced in all statistics ended 0:0.
