Austria Wien and home-grown talent Muharem Husković have agreed to extend his contract, which expires in the summer, until the end of the 2026/27 season. The 21-year-old attacker will be loaned out to TSV Hartberg until the summer.
In the summer of 2016, Husković moved to Austria Vienna, where he progressed through the entire academy programme from U15 to U18 and then demonstrated his skills with the Young Violets in the 2nd division. The attacker signed his first professional contract in September 2020 and made his Bundesliga debut on 26 January 2021 at the age of 17 in the Violets' 4-0 away win at Admira. Since then, the Austrian U21 team player has made 73 appearances for the Violets, scoring twelve goals in the process.
The Violets have now reached an agreement with Husković and extended his contract until the summer of 2027. In order to gain the necessary match practice, Husković will be loaned out to TSV Hartberg for the second half of the current season.
Sporting Director Manuel Ortlechner: ‘Muki Husković is a Violet home-grown talent and a very talented player who has already demonstrated his potential in the Austrian Bundesliga. We are convinced of his qualities, which is why we have extended his contract until the summer of 2027. For his further development, however, he absolutely needs playing time, which we cannot currently guarantee him in the first team. The loan to Hartberg is therefore a good solution for Muki and Austria Wien. We will keep a close eye on his development in the second half of the season.’
