Reinhold Ranftl signs on for another year

Austria Vienna has extended Reinhold Ranftl’s expiring contract by another year, through the summer of 2027. Since his arrival in Vienna-Favoriten four years ago, no other player has logged more minutes for the Violets than this workhorse on the right wing. Over the past three seasons, “Reini” has been the Austria Vienna player with the most minutes played across all competitions.

Reinhold Ranftl initially joined Austria on loan from FC Schalke 04 in the summer of 2022 and was signed permanently by the Violets a year later. Over the past four seasons, he has been a mainstay on the right flank, making a total of 158 appearances for the Violets, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists.
