The fans' feedback will be carefully considered in the planning and design of the home game days of the new 2019/20 season. On one hand, the survey consisted of questions with a rating scale of one to five and, on the other hand, some open comment fields. The survey was conducted online after the end of the season and advertised on all Austria Wien channels.
The Austria Wien Fans rate the family program on the West stand very frequently and extremely positively. The free kindergarten, the bouncy castle and the active sport programs with, amongst other, ‘Micro soccer’ are extremely popular. The rest of the program is also rated "very good" or "good" by two-thirds, and there are occasional requests for more variety.
The majority of the participants were satisfied with the music selection before the match. "Glaub dran" is received very positive overall, some fans expressed wishes for specific artists, Falco was called especially often.
The Generali Arena was able to fully meet its security requirements. Three quarters of the Austria Wien fans rate the feeling of security as "very good", as well as all other participants with "good".
In gastronomy tastes differ. Half of the interviewees find the catering offer "good" to "very good". 28 percent are reasonably satisfied, 22 percent are not satisfied. In the open comments the fans gave very detailed suggestions for improvement, which are considered in the planning for the new season as far as possible.
The Viola Sportsbar is already a popular meeting place before and after the home games, as well as for the excitement during the away games and for talking shop on Champions League evenings. It is rated positive by 60 percent and experiences little negative feedback (seven percent).
There is potential for improvement for some fans in the assortment of the Austria Wien fan shop. While the majority of respondents already refer to the offer as "very good" or "good" and a third rated the range as mediocre, 15 percent see it as negative.
When asked what innovation the stadium visitors particularly convinced, almost half of the survey participants mentioned the cashless payment in the Generali Arena.
More than half of the day ticket buyers get their tickets online, the overwhelming majority use the Print @ Home Ticket, the mobile purchase directly on the smartphone is currently not used very often.
More than half of all visitors travel to the Generali Arena with public transportation, the majority of them use the direct subway connection. One request by the fans is a bridge from the subway station directly to the stadium, as noted several times in the open comments. More than a third of respondents said they still travel by car.
Just over half of the respondents were Austria Wien subscribers. Forty percent of the participants in the survey were fans of the East Stand, almost half of them were visitors from North or South, and the North/East and West sectors were also represented in the survey, each with over 100 participants.
