The Violet women return from their well-earned winter break on 8 January and begin their preparations for the spring. From 19 to 26 January, coach Stefan Kenesei's team will be at a training camp in Turkey, with a total of four international test matches on the programme.
On 6 December, the Violets celebrated a well-deserved 2-0 home win over FC Bergheim at the end of the year, and on 9 December there was one last joint outing on the programme before Verena Volkmer & Co went into the winter break. It's all about recharging the batteries until Christmas, when athletics coach Mauro Vasile will start a home programme tailored to each individual player around the holidays.
The Violet women will then return to the pitch on 8 January, with the first test match taking place on 17 January away at Lokomotiva Brno. Two days later, the preparation will be moved to the Turkish Riviera for a week, once again travelling to Belek as in January 2024. Two test matches await Austria there, with the opponents to be finalised shortly.
Back in Vienna, the Violets will host ETO Győri in Favoriten on 1 February, which will also be the last test before the first competitive match in 2025. This will take place on Saturday 8 February at 2 pm as part of the quarter-finals of the SPORTLAND Niederösterreich Women's Cup against USV Neulengbach.
