The clear goal of the ÖFB, the women's national team and Austria Wien is to set a new record in domestic women's football. The current record is 10,051 fans, set at the home match against France almost one and a half years ago.
Harald Zagiczek, CEO of FK Austria Wien AG: ‘We are delighted to be able to host this fantastic and prestigious clash between Austria and Germany. In my opinion, the city of Vienna and the Franz-Horr-Stadion, as our arena will be known again from now on for international matches, are the perfect setting for this thriller. Enthusiasm for women's football is growing and growing, and we can also see that in our women's team - we want to actively support and promote this momentum. Together, we set a record with over 10,000 fans at the international match against France in September 2023 and want to beat that again on 3 June.’
Team manager Alexander Schriebl: ‘Austria vs Germany, there's not really much more to say about this clash and its special explosiveness. Plus a floodlit match in the Austrian capital and hopefully a new attendance record. The excitement is immense. Games against Germany are always special. The more fans come and support us, the more momentum we can gain. We're hoping for a great crowd on 3 June and look forward to welcoming every fan to the stadium.’
