Our last dance

Alex Grünwald and Markus Suttner will be honoured on the turf of the Generali-Arena as part of their last match directly after the home final against Sturm Graz (Saturday, 17:00). In order to offer the two deserving Violets a worthy setting, we ask every Austrian to come to the stadium on Saturday and stay longer after the final whistle to celebrate 'Grüni' and 'Sutti'. It is important for the official tribute after the match that all Violets remain in the stands after the end of the match and do not enter the pitch.

The East Stand of the Generali Arena is already completely sold out. We recommend switching to the north/east stand and securing a ticket for next season so that you always have a fixed seat in our fan curve. Around 12,000 tickets had already been sold by Tuesday afternoon, and demand is growing every day. Subscribers each receive a free ticket.

As a farewell to their successful playing careers, Alex Grünwald and Markus Suttner will receive a big thank-you from the fans and the club. We don't want to reveal much more yet, because we also want to surprise the protagonists with one or the other action. In any case, it is worthwhile for all Austrian fans to stay half an hour longer than usual after the final whistle and to linger in the stands (!).

Together into the group phase with a win

As is well known, the sporting starting situation also contributes a considerable part to the attractiveness of the last home game of the season. The Violets have a unique chance to crown their excellent season by fixing their participation in a European Cup group stage next season with a win against Sturm Graz.

Austria are in third place before the last round, and fourth place (Q3 of the UEFA Europa Conference League) is no longer out of reach. A win would be tantamount to qualifying for the UEFA Europa League play-off and thus at least participating in the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage.

Secure tickets quickly

Tickets for the home match against Sturm Graz are on sale at the fanshop (Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 9am-1pm) and at fak.at/tickets. Subscribers (except VIPs) will receive a free ticket to a stand of their choice as compensation for the ghost match in November, in the fan shop and online at fak.at/abo-zuckerl.

The starting situation

With a win against Sturm Graz, third place and thus participation in a European Cup group stage is fixed.

A draw against Sturm Graz is only enough if the parallel match between WAC and Rapid also ends in a draw.

A defeat is definitely not enough for third place, but at least fourth place is already assured for the Veilchen.

The European Cup places

Third place advances to the UEFA Europa League play-off (18 & 25 August 2022) and is at least qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The fourth-placed team enters the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round (4 & 11 August 2022) and would also have to survive a play-off after that.
