On Thursday, 18 September at 7:45 p.m., things will heat up at the Franz Horr Stadion: Austria Wien will battle it out against Paris FC in the second leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League for a historic place in the new league phase! After a strong 0-0 draw in the first leg in France, anything is possible for the Violets at home against the big favourites. Tickets are already available for €10 or €5 for children at the fan shop and at fak.at/tickets.
15–0, 3–0, 1–0, 2–0, 3–0, 3–0, 0–0, 1–0. These are the results achieved so far by the violet women in the 2025/26 season. They confidently advanced to the second round of the ÖFB Women's Cup against Melk, defeated Altach, LASK, Vienna and Sturm Graz in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, and beat Glasgow City and Minsk in their first appearance in the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifiers, as well as achieving a strong draw in Paris. Seven wins from eight games, 28 goals scored, not a single goal conceded – a record that is more than impressive.
And so, on Thursday, there is a chance to write a violet football fairy tale. In the return leg against Paris FC, the Violets are counting on the support of numerous fans at the Franz Horr Stadion. Tickets for the clash against the top French club are available at the fan shop and at fak.at/tickets. Adults pay €10, children €5.
The winner of the tie will advance to the Champions League league phase, which is being held for the first time in women's football. The draw for this will take place on Friday, 19 September at noon. The losing team will continue in the second qualifying round of the newly introduced UEFA Women's Europa Cup, with the draw taking place on Friday afternoon.
