Wimmer: "Want to give something back to our fans"

In the first three games of the final round, the Violets went winless in Altach (1:1), as well as at home against Blau Weiß Linz (0:0) and Austria Lustenau (1:1). As Wolfsberger AC also drew three times, Austria remained in first place in the qualifying group, but the disappointment among the fans and the team was particularly great after the home game against Lustenau:

"I can understand one hundred per cent that our fans are unhappy. We are too. Unfortunately, we dropped down a gear against Austria Lustenau after going 1-0 in front and were punished for it," emphasised coach Michi Wimmer, who is demanding 90 minutes of full throttle from his team:

"It will be important for us to show a certain looseness and enthusiasm for the game again and play football with power. Our fans exemplify this power for us, they go full throttle for 90 minutes. We're experiencing support that couldn't be better despite being in the play-offs. That's why we want to give something back to our fans and finally get our first win in the qualifying group," says Wimmer.
