Şahin-Radlinger is signed & loaned out

Austria Wien have signed goalkeeper Samuel Şahin-Radlinger and loaned him directly to Almere City in the Netherlands for the 2023/24 season. The 30-year-old signed a contract with the Violets until the summer of 2026.

"We have been watching Samuel for some time and have now taken the opportunity to sign an experienced goalkeeper. Due to our goalkeeper situation, the option has arisen to lend him directly to the Eredivisie. He will play against top teams like Ajax and PSV with Almere City and can gain valuable experience there once again," explains sporting director Manuel Ortlechner.

Şahin-Radlinger came through the youth ranks at SV Ried and moved to Germany in 2011 to join Hannover 96. After several loan spells, including within Germany to Nuremberg and to Norway to SK Brann, the 1.98-meter goalkeeper joined FC Barnsley in England in 2019. In the summer of 2020 followed the return to his home in the Innviertel to Ried.

In the 2023/24 season, Şahin-Radlinger will guard the goal in the Netherlands at Almere City. The club, which has been represented in professional soccer since 2005, was promoted to the Eredivisie, the highest division in the Netherlands, for the first time last summer.
