Abubakr Barry moves to Red Bull Salzburg

After two successful seasons and a total of 70 competitive matches in purple, the 25-year-old midfielder is leaving the Veilchen and moving to FC Red Bull Salzburg within the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. The parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transfer.

n the summer of 2024, Barry moved from Israeli second-tier side Bnei Yehuda to Vienna-Favoriten and immediately established himself as a first-team regular under manager Stephan Helm.

During his two seasons with Austria, the midfield playmaker became one of the most eye-catching ‘Veilchen’ on the pitch, astonishing many a fan in the stands with his technical finesse and elegant style of play. In total, the Gambian scored six goals and provided eight assists.

Now, our former number five is moving to FC Red Bull Salzburg within the ADMIRAL Bundesliga with immediate effect.
