Austria recruits Matteo Pérez Vinlöf from FC Bayern

Austria Vienna have signed Matteo Pérez Vinlöf from FC Bayern Munich on loan for the 2024/25 season. The 18-year-old left-back made his Bundesliga debut in May 2024 and was subsequently called up to the senior Sweden national team for the first time in June. Pérez Vinlöf was a regular for FC Bayern's second team in the pre-season.

Matteo Pérez Vinlöf: "For me, the move to Austria is a good step in my career to gain experience at a strong club in a wonderful city. My debut for Bayern and my first call-up to the Swedish national team felt unreal at first - like a dream - but now I'm looking forward to proving myself in my first season in the top flight."

Sporting Director Manuel Ortlechner: "We are delighted that we have already been able to realise the third transfer from FC Bayern to Austria with Matteo Pérez Vinlöf, after our cooperation with Chris Früchtl and Frans Krätzig ended to the great satisfaction of everyone involved. After the departures of Manuel Polster and Frans Krätzig, we saw a need for action in the left-back position. At Austria Vienna, we can offer Matteo the opportunity to gain match practice and thus develop further. We assume that he will soon be able to help us with his quality."
