Austria Vienna sign Ibrahim Buhari

The 24-year-old centre-back is joining Vienna Favoriten on a free transfer from Swedish top-flight side IF Elfsborg and has signed a long-term contract running until the summer of 2029. The Nigerian will wear the number three shirt for the Veilchen.

Buhari moved from Plateau United in his native Nigeria to Europe in the summer of 2022, joining IF Elfsborg. Over the following seasons, the tall defender made 77 appearances for the Swedish side. The Nigerian has now signed a contract with Austria Vienna until the summer of 2029 and will take part in his first team training session today.
