"I am looking forward to the exciting and interesting challenges that await me at Austria Wien. I am also fully convinced that together we will fit together really well as a new team and I can't wait for the first training sessions and games," said Cynthia Adamu.

Like her brother Junior, Adamu started playing football at GAK in the summer of 2018 and quickly became a leading scorer for the girls. After three years, she ventured into the ÖFB Women's Academy, where she is also pursuing her school career.

In May 2022, Adamu made her debut for the Austrian U16 national team against Spain, and five days later she scored her first goal in team kit against Iceland. Three appearances for the U16s have been followed by nine games in the U17 team to date, including five in European Championship qualifying.

Lisa Makas, sporting director: "We are very happy to have been able to win Cynthia, a potential national team player, for our path and win her over. I'm also personally delighted and I'm convinced that, even at her young age, she will be an extreme reinforcement for our offence due to her strong physicality and footballing qualities."
