Marco Djuricin is looking forward to his third Vienna derby (Sunday, 17:00). Austria Wien is unbeaten at the Allianz Stadium in Hütteldorf five years and months after the opening: "Of course, this series is a topic with us - that's something nice. I think it annoys them a lot that they haven't won against us there yet. We will look to keep the series," stresses the 28-year-old striker.</div>Derby: Hitzig, emotional & reizvol
For Marco Djuricin, the third derby is the second without spectators, a big downer for the Vienna native: "It's a great pity that the derby takes place without fans. Of course, it's still not like any other game - every single person is more tense. Derbies are always heated, that's normal. When you know the derby is coming up, there's already a slightly different feeling in the dressing room all week. You can feel every player looking forward to it."
The 28-year-old striker has so far experienced two derby draws at the Generali Arena (0-0 in March, 1-1 in August). He is still waiting for his first derby goal: "The attraction is very great. I haven't lost a Viennese derby yet and now I hope we can win on Sunday." The development of the team is creating a positive mood within the dressing room, with many youngsters from the club's own academy enlivening Austria's play, including Djuricin's Sturm partner Muharem Huskovic, who is only 18:
"Muki is a really good boy: very humble and hardworking, he always wants to learn. He gets a lot of tips from me - that makes me happy, of course, because I've really experienced a lot." In the 2-1 win over Sturm, Huskovic scored the 1-0 goal, his second Bundesliga goal, after Djuricin's preliminary work: "He's on a really good path. His nature is simply very advanced in his development and he also knows how to use his body. We complement each other well," says Marco Djuricin.
The 28-year-old striker (6 goals and 3 assists in 15 Bundesliga appearances) likes the development of Austria's play during this season: "You can see, for example, in the way we try to play out the back, that we have developed further. Last week we beat a good opponent and now we want to take the positives with us," says Marco Djuricin, who likes our youth approach:
"We now have really many young players in the team - they are doing very well and have earned this chance. I think it's good that the coach is pushing the youngsters. That's the future, that's the way we want to go. We experienced players try to help the young ones - and at the same time the young ones also help us older ones."
