Our head coach Manfred Schmid tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and is already in quarantine. His first thought was for the Austria fans, with whom he therefore cannot celebrate the 111th birthday of Austria Wien on today, March 15, the date of its founding.

Manfred Schmid comes out of quarantine with a message to Austria fans: "I would have loved to be there and celebrate with you. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your great support. Our team has felt your support in recent weeks, you have carried us into the championship group and to victory against the WAC. Unfortunately, I can not be there this time due to my COVID illness. I wish our Austria & all the violets a happy birthday and a lot of fun at the celebration. I'm already looking forward to seeing you all again soon in our stadium."

The rest of the violet coaching team and the entire squad will be in full force tonight and will join all violets who want to join the festivities of our fan scene for a commemorative photo and celebrate the 111th birthday in a fitting manner.
