The German moved to the Verteilerkreis on loan from FC Basel in the summer of 2024 and immediately established himself as an absolute starter under coach Stephan Helm. The attacker started 30 of 31 Bundesliga matches, contributing eleven goals and three assists. Through his performances and commitment, he quickly played his way into violet hearts. After one season in violet, Austria Wien have now exercised their option to buy, tying the number 77 to the club for a further two seasons.

Sporting Director Manuel Ortlechner: ‘Maurice Malone has absolutely fulfilled the expectations placed in him and we are convinced that he still has a lot of potential. I am particularly pleased that this signing is the result of a joint decision within the club - an important step towards continuing our sporting path consistently and successfully.’

Maurice Malone: ‘I've felt really at home here in Vienna since day one and I'm very happy to continue being part of the violet family. We've played a great season and I'm looking forward to the next tasks and especially to the last game on Saturday with all the fans behind us.’
