Moritz Wels joins WSG Tirol on loan

Austria Wien has loaned Moritz Wels to WSG Tirol for the 2025/26 season. The 20-year-old midfielder made 14 appearances for the Violets last season and played another twelve games for former partner club SV Stripfing.

Now Wels is set to gain even more playing experience with the Tyroleans: ‘The coach has known me for a long time and I think the style of play suits me well. I want to get a lot of playing time at WSG, develop further and be successful with the club,’ said Wels about his loan move.
