After the good performance against the city rivals, Michael Wimmer saw no reason to change his starting eleven. James Holland was preferred to Matthias Braunöder after a strong derby performance and thus played his 250th game in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, the 120th for the Veilchen. Can Keles was fit again after his hand injury, but was not yet in the squad.

Peter Pacult, the coach of today's opponents, made a change in midfield: Maximiliano Moreira started in defensive midfield in place of the yellow-suspended Rico Benatelli.

No goals before the break

Austria Wien tried to control the game from the beginning. Manfred Fischer had the first small chance after a nice combination, but was prevented from finishing by the Klagenfurt backline (10th). James Holland sent Haris Tabaković on his way, but he was just offside (14.).

Klagenfurt then got into the game a little better, but chances remained scarce on both sides. A shot by Andreas Gruber was blocked, a header by Tabaković after a throw-in by Holland was too weak (32., 33.). Phillip Menzel in the Carinthian goal had no trouble with a shot from Fischer after a pass from Dominik Fitz (41.). The game went into the break goalless.

Jukić scored to take the lead, Klagenfurt equalised in injury time

After the break, the Viennese continued to strive for the lead, but Tabaković's first chance after a pass from Fitz was again blocked by the alert Klagenfurt defence (46). A header by the Swiss after a cross by Reinhold Ranftl went over the goal (53.). Austria Klagenfurt became dangerous for the first time in the 55th minute when a long shot by Christopher Cvetko just missed the bar.

After an hour, Michael Wimmer brought on Aleksandar Jukić for Andreas Gruber, and a little later Matthias Braunöder came on for Dominik Fitz. Haris Tabaković failed to hit Menzel with a lob (72nd), Manfred Fischer shot over the bar in the 76th minute. Braunöder tried a long-range shot - held (78.).

In the 79th minute, the two jokers stung: Matthias Braunöder sent Aleksandar Jukić into the hole with a dream pass, who gave Menzel no chance with a rich shot into the short corner.

Christian Früchtl had a chance to prove himself with a shot from substitute Simon Straudi (83rd). In stoppage time, Florian Jaritz appeared in front of Früchtl and made it 1-1 - a bitter pill for the Veilchen, especially since the goal was preceded by a wrong throw-in. Manfred Fischer shot over the goal in the 95th minute and Austria had to settle for a point in Klagenfurt.
