After the bitter defeat in Altach, the Veilchen have once again addressed the current situation together. "We tried to get the heads, which were naturally down, up again. We want to see this week as a new opportunity and will throw everything in on Wednesday to advance one round", explained coach Michael Wimmer.

Violets fully focused after St. Anna

St. Anna am Aigen recently won twice in a row at home with 1-0 against Weiz and Wallern/Marienkirchen, in between there was a clear 0-7 defeat at LASK Amateure. Currently, the southeast Styrians are in 10th place in the Regionalliga Mitte. "A very important week awaits us and we will not take this cup match against St. Anna lightly in any case." The arrival will be on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cup has a special position for Wimmer: "It is the shortest way to the international competition and to a title, we have that in mind. Austria Wien is a record Cup winner, which is one of the reasons why we clearly have the ambition to go as far as possible in this competition," said the coach, who already has the home derby on Sunday (5 p.m.) in the back of his mind.

Personnel situation

"The game on Sunday is extremely important for the entire club and of course present, you can feel that. We will decide, depending on the load and fitness level, whether a player gets a break before the derby." Tin Plavotić (ankle injury) continues to be out, in addition the long-term injured Ziad El Sheiwi, Marko Raguž and Florian Wustinger are missing.

Lucas Galvão is eligible to play in St. Anna after his yellow-red card in Altach and will only be suspended in the derby, while assistent coach Ahmet Koç must serve his suspension after his red card last weekend in the Cup game.
