The new year also brought a new team manager for the Austrian women's national team. Alexander Schriebl took over from Irene Fuhrmann and will make his debut on 21 February in Ried im Innkreis in the UEFA Women's Nations League 2025 opener against Scotland. Austria will then face Germany in Nuremberg on 25 February.
Schriebl has named one Austria Wien player in his first squad, Gini Kirchberger, as well as five other Violets on call-up: Larissa Haidner, Kathi Schiechtl, Louise Schöffel, Lena Triendl and Yvonne Weilharter. The 23-year-old Schöffel is in the extended squad for the first time.
The U19 national team will travel to Belek from 17 to 25 February and will play two tests against their Swiss counterparts (21 & 24 February). Team manager Markus Hackl has called up the Violets Emma Eichberger, Sophie Rapf, Florentina Satra and Alisa Ziletkina as well as Cynthia Adamu, who is on loan to LASK. Lilah Havel and loan player Yasmin Fellner (SG FAC/Landhaus) are on call.
The U17 team is also holding its first training session in Turkey under the direction of team manager Patrick Haidbauer. The red-white-red talents are travelling to Side one day later than their U19 colleagues and will face Poland twice on site (22 & 25 February). Kathi Moser and Emily Schäfer will be flying the violet flags there.
