Six Austria Vienna players called up

Katharina Schiechtl will face Germany and Poland at the start of the European Qualifiers. Antea Batarilo and Croatia's U19s will welcome her violet team-mates Larissa Haidner, Florentina Satra and Alisa Ziletkina, among others. Academy player Anversa Muça will also don the Albanian jersey.

On Friday 5 April at 8:30 pm, Austria will kick off their European Qualifiers campaign against Germany. Katharina Schiechtl, who has been called up by team boss Irene Fuhrmann for the clash in Linz and the away game against Poland (9 April), will be right in the thick of things.

The Violet defence boss is one of only four players from the domestic Admiral Frauen-Bundesliga in the ÖFB squad. Lena Triendl and Yvonne Weilharter are two other Austria Vienna players on call. ORF 1 will broadcast the top match live.

Violet reunion in the U19 qualification

The red-white-red U19 women are also in the European Qualifiers and will now face Croatia (3 April), Republic of Ireland (6 April) and Iceland (9 April) in the second round. Team boss Hannes Spilka has called up three Violets for the tournament in Croatia: Larissa Haidner, Florentina Satra and Alisa Ziletkina. Cynthia Adamu, Sandrine Neidhardt, Anna Schorn and Alexandra Wölkart are also on the call-up list.

The clash with Croatia will be very exciting for the Violets, as Antea Batarilo is in the Croatian squad. Only the group winners will qualify for the UEFA U19 EURO in July in Lithuania, which is also the country of birth of Alisa Ziletkina.

Albania will also face Cyprus (3 April), Liechtenstein (6 April) and Scotland (9 April) in the European Qualifiers, albeit in League B and therefore without a chance of qualifying. Academy player Anversa Muça is part of the Albanian U19s, who could be promoted back to League A if they win their group.
