Special Violets at the Coca-Cola Inclusion Run

The Coca-Cola Inclusion Run kicked off the big marathon weekend in Vienna last Saturday. The Special Violets were there again and were accompanied by sports director Manuel Ortlechner.

The 4th Coca-Cola Inclusion Run thrilled not only the participants but also the numerous spectators along the course on Vienna's Ringstrasse.

The Special Violets, led by the coaching duo Thomas Hanreiter and Leo Vasile, were also there with great joy. The focus, as with all athletes on this day, was not the personal best time, but the shared joy of sports and movement.

"Austria Wien takes inclusion more than seriously. The first line of our mission statement says that we are a tolerant and cosmopolitan club. But we don't just write it down, we really live it, which is why we were here at the start with the Special Violets. Events like the Coca-Cola Inclusion Run strengthen the feeling of togetherness," said sports director Manuel Ortlechner, who also actively participated.

The Coca-Cola Inclusion Run was also held in 2021 to benefit Special Olympics Austria.
