0:0 at Austria Klagenfurt

The duel between the two Austrias ended with a 0:0. Austria from Vienna - especially in the person of Muharem Husković - created good opportunities, but the ball would not enter the goal. Matthias Braunöder received his fifth yellow card and will miss next week's match against Sturm Graz.

Manfred Schmid had to do without the injured Marco Djuričin at short notice, Noah Ohio started for the second time from the beginning. Otherwise, the starting eleven remained unchanged after the narrow defeat against Red Bull Salzburg.

Peter Pacult could again rely on his defenders Thorsten Mahrer and Till Schumacher at Klagenfurt Austria. Both also started from the start, otherwise there were no changes from the 2-0 win at Hartberg

0:0 at the break

Austria from Vienna started dominantly and also had the first chance. After a corner kick by Matthias Braunöder, Manfred Fischer extended to Muharem Husković, but he headed the ball over the goal (4th). A Braunöder free kick created danger in the Klagenfurt penalty area, but the ball ultimately went over the crossbar (9.). Husković scored what was supposed to be the opening goal after Vesel Demaku had done some nice preparatory work, but he was just offside (19.).

After that, the home side got into the game better, with Patrick Pentz safely catching a header from Nicolas Wimmer (19.). Shortly after, the neo-team player had to make more of an effort: Florian Rieder had a free shot in the penalty area, but Pentz made a good save. Patrick Greil missed the follow-up shot (20.). Markus Suttner shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Phillip Menzel in the Klagenfurt goal had trouble turning the ball over the crossbar (35.). The game went into the halftime break goalless.

Also after the break unfortunately no goals

Manfred Schmid changed his system at the break, midfielder Aleksandar Jukić replaced striker Noah Ohio. Again "our" Austria had the better start, Muharem Husković had a great chance in the 56th minute after a Suttner corner, but missed the goal from close range. A header from the young striker - after another Markus Suttner cross - also missed (61st). Aleksandar Jukić had another good chance after a cross from Georg Teigl, but again the ball would not enter the goal (63.). Manfred Fischer scored after Husković's cross, but this time Menzel was on the spot (67.).

The game became more open, Austria Klagenfurt had opportunities through Alex Timossi Andersson and substitute Alexander Fuchs (67th, 70th). In the 76th minute, Alexander Grünwald and Can Keles came on for Vesel Demaku and Georg Teigl. Shortly before the end, Romeo Vucic celebrated his professional debut for Austria. The 18-year-old striker came on for Manfred Fischer, with Johannes Handl replacing Matthias Braunöder. In five minutes of stoppage time, Christopher Cvetko put a free kick next to the goal. Austria Klagenfurt remained without a goal for only the second time in their 15th game. The Violette duel ended in a goalless draw.
