In the 12th round of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, the first home game of the second half of the season is finally on the programme. The Veilchen welcome SK Sturm Graz to the Generali-Arena on Sunday (12:45 pm). ORF Sport+ will also be broadcasting live.

The first home game in 2024 is just around the corner and the Violets, led by goalkeeper Larissa Haidner, want to build on the performances of recent weeks: "We've shown what we're made of in recent weeks and want to carry this momentum forward against Sturm Graz."

"Extremely awesome mentality"

Coach Stefan Kenesei is not the only one looking forward to the Generali-Arena, where all remaining home games this season will be played. "We're really looking forward to playing in the Generali-Arena. We've made a good start to the year, shown a lot of positive things and implemented the things we worked on during the winter. Our signature is becoming more and more recognisable and we currently have an extremely awesome mentality on the pitch."

The preparation for the top match went well, said Haidner, who only conceded one goal in 2024. "We want to get the next win. We also need the support of our fans to do that", the goalkeeper appealed to the Violet fan community.

In the first half of the season, the Violets were still beaten 1-4 after careless mistakes despite taking the lead at the break, but then enjoyed a clear 3-0 victory in the most recent cup tie. Thanks to wonderful goals from Alexandra Wölkart and Louise Schöffel as well as an own goal, the team got off to a good start in the spring.

Points should stay in Vienna

"A mega-difficult task awaits with Sturm. The 3-0 win in the cup was hard work. If we give just a few per cent less, they will definitely punish us. Sturm will be out to make amends, and we're prepared for that. But we want to keep the three points in Vienna", Kenesei makes clear.

As usual, season ticket holders enjoy free entry, tickets are available for €8 at fak.at/tickets and from 11:30 am on Sunday in the fan shop, with the Generali-Arena opening its doors at 11:45 am. Car park P2 in front of the East Stand can be used free of charge, and catering will be provided by a food truck in front of the North Stand.
