The Violets remain unbeaten in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga even after the international break. In their home game against LASK, Austria celebrated a commanding 3-1 victory, securing their eleventh win in eleven games. Although the Viennese struggled a little at the start, they found their rhythm and set the course for victory in the first half. Yvonne Weilharter and Lotta Cordes scored the goals for the Violets, with an own goal from the Linz team adding to the tally.

Head coach Stefan Kenesei had warned his team in advance that LASK would be a tough opponent. And indeed, Austria struggled to get into the game at the start of the match. LASK tested the team from Favoriten as early as the second minute, but goalkeeper Jasmin Pal was wide awake and prevented an early deficit.
After that, Austria increasingly took control. After several corner kicks and attacks down the wings, the hosts were finally rewarded in the 21st minute: Yvonne Weilharter scored the deserved 1-0 after a precise cross from Louise Schöffel.
Just four minutes later, the Violets added another goal, this time from a set piece. Carina Wenninger headed a free kick from Elisa Pfattner to Lotta Cordes, who slotted home from close range to make it 2-0 (25').
In the 32nd minute, Schöffel once again caused danger down the right. Her sharp cross was unfortunately deflected into her own goal by a Linz defender – 3-0 to the Violets. Shortly before half-time, Sara Pavlovic narrowly missed the target with a long-range shot, but the comfortable lead had already been established, so the teams went into the break with the score at 3-0.
After the break, the Violets continued to dominate the game, even though several chances did not result in any further goals. Weilharter (48'), Pfattner (55') and Cordes (60') were denied by the LASK goalkeeper, who reacted well.
In the 65th minute, LASK scored a consolation goal from a corner after Pal initially punched the ball away, but the follow-up shot ended up in the net – 3-1. However, Austria did not let this distract them and controlled the game until the final whistle. Goalkeeper Pal made some more strong saves in the final stages and held on to the two-goal lead.
After initial difficulties, the Violets quickly found their usual confident form and decided the game in the first half. With a 3-1 home win against LASK, the Violets remain unbeaten in the league and impressively confirm their dominance. They can now go into the important cup round of 16 match against SKN St. Pölten next Saturday (1:30 p.m.) on the back of another victory.
