Austria Vienna have been unbeaten in all competitions since mid-October, winning six of their nine matches in the Bundesliga and the Sportland Niederösterreich Women's Cup with a goal difference of 26:4.

"Exciting task" for Austria

The bitter 0-0 draw against Sturm Graz last weekend prevented them from closing the gap on the fourth-placed Styrians in the table. The Linzers were recently beaten 3-0 by Altach/Vorderland and are seventh in the table with eight points fewer than the Violets.

Coach Stefan Kenesei is looking forward to the away game: "An exciting task awaits us. Blau Weiß Linz have performed well in recent games, even if they haven't always managed to get the points they were hoping for."

Aiming for three points on Sunday

In the first meeting in September last year, Austria Vienna recorded a clear 6-1 home win, with Verena Volkmer scoring a treble and Dominique Bruinenberg, Vanessa Rauter and Jacqueline Hajek scoring in Vienna-Favoriten.

Although the role of favorites is clear, the Violets' head coach warns against the Linzers: "We're expecting a very difficult game, but in a very beautiful and new stadium. The clear aim is to build on our current run. We want to go into the game with confidence and take three points back to Vienna."

The match will kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Hofmann Personal Stadium in Linz, tickets are available on site. ÖFB TV will also be broadcasting live.
