While Marvin Martins could celebrate his comeback with Luxembourg in the battle for one of the last European Championship tickets, Sandali Condé is in the Guinea U23 squad for the first time. For Muharem Husković, Manuel Polster and Romeo Vučić, European Championship qualifiers are on the programme with the U21 national team, while six other Violets are involved in the elite round with the U19s and U17s respectively.
While Austria have already secured their ticket for EURO 2024 through regular qualification and will play test matches against Slovakia and Turkey on 23 and 26 March respectively (Andi Gruber is on the call-up list), Luxembourg are still fighting for one of the last three open spots in the play-off.
On 21 March, they will face Georgia in the semi-final; if they win, the winner of the clash between Greece and Kazakhstan will be waiting in the final five days later for a place in European Championship Group F. Marvin Martins, who has been recovering recently, has been nominated by coach Luc Holtz and could make his comeback.
Goalkeeper Sandali Condé has been called up to the Guinea U23 national team for the first time. The 20-year-old has made four appearances for red-white-red youth teams to date, but will now be able to prove himself with his parents' home country. Guinea will face the USA (22 March) and Côte d'Ivoire (26 March) in preparation for the play-off for the final place in this summer's Olympic football tournament.
The Austrian U21 national team will play a test match against Denmark on 22 March and will face Cyprus four days later as part of the qualifiers for EURO 2025, both of which will be played in Ried im Innkreis. Coach Werner Gregoritsch has called up three Austria Vienna players in Muharem Husković, Manuel Polster and Romeo Vučić, while Moritz Wels is also on the call-up list. Matthias Braunöder, who is currently on loan to Como 1907, has also been nominated.
Frans Krätzig and the German U20 team will face their French counterparts twice in Valencia. The matches will take place on 22 and 25 March.
With Kenan Jusić, Luca Pazourek and Dejan Radonjić, three Violets are in the squad for the domestic U19 team, which will face Kosovo (20 March), Slovenia (23 March) and Spain (26 March) in the elite round of the European Championship qualifiers. Only the group winners will qualify for the final round in Northern Ireland in July. Sanel Šaljić is on call.
A friendly double international awaits Austria's U18 national team, to be played in and against Italy on 21 and 24 March. Manfred Zsak has called up Petar Marković, Dominik Nišandžić, Marijan Österreicher, Lars Stöckl and Marcel Stöger. Luka Izderić is another Violet on the call-up list.
The Austrian U17 team is also in the elite round of the European Championship qualifiers and, like the U19s, will face Slovenia (20 March) and Spain (26 March). They will be joined by Norway (23 March), with the mini-tournament being held in the Wr. Neustadt area. Julian Höller and Philipp Maybach (on call: Konstantin Aleksa) will fly the violet flags for the Austrians.
Michael Izunwanne does the same for the Polish national team. He and his team-mates will face Bosnia and Herzegovina (20 March), Belarus (23 March) and Czechia (26 March). The group winners and seven of the eight runners-up will qualify for the final round in Cyprus.
Hasan Deshishku, Devran Gündük and Vasilije Marković have been called up to the U16 national team by Hermann Stadler for the two test matches against North Macedonia, while Ifeanyi Ndukwe is on call. The matches will be played on 20 and 23 March in Oberwart.
