Austria Wien will conclude their summer training camp on Saturday morning (11:00 a.m.) with a friendly match against Bohemians Prague. Coach Stephan Helm is satisfied with the last few days and has a good feeling about all the new signings.
The Violets have completed eight highly intensive training sessions, and the training camp is coming to an end. Tomorrow, Saturday, they will face Bohemians Prague in Stuben, who have been preparing for the new season nearby. The match will consist of two 60-minute halves.
‘Once again, we found excellent conditions here in Bad Tatzmannsdorf and were able to train under the best conditions at the AVITA Resort. The players gave their all, we had really good energy in training throughout the week and want to finish the training camp on a high note with the test match’ said Stephan Helm.
In addition to many strenuous but also tactical training sessions, the Veilchen were also challenged on Thursday in so-called mountain karts. At the Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen, they first took the chairlift up the mountain and then raced back down the gravel track at varying speeds, depending on their preference. Some of them even took on the track a second time, and there was certainly no shortage of fun.
The new Violet signings have also settled in well, as Helm confirms: ‘A training camp like this is always an ideal opportunity to integrate new players. But I think that's one of our team's strengths – they bring the new guys along and support them wherever they can. What's more, they're all open-minded and have fully committed themselves. I have a good feeling that they will further strengthen our group.’
With the exception of Noah Botić, all new signings will also feature in the test match against the Czechs. The striker will be rested, as will Sanel Šaljić, both purely as a precautionary measure.
